For over ten years, we have not been sending Christmas cards: instead the budget goes to Kids Alive to help their work with orphaned children in troubled Miramar (Burma): Kids Alive worked with 50 children in 1999, last year with 2,400 and this year even more following the devastation of Cyclone Nargis. Kids Alive are currently building four more children's homes, the first one opens in March 2010.
We are also supporting the Kenya Children's Centres, a charity which is providing schools and home for orphaned children three. Two long standing friends, Peter and Keir are joining a group of 20 people cycling around Mount Kenya raising money for the school.
